Today 3 cadets and 1 member of staff attended a RAFA Brew for a Few event in Cottingham. Cadets assisted with the running event my taking donations, serving cakes & making and serving drinks. They also helped my serving customers at the RAFA stall.
On Saturday 17th February the squadron held its annual presentation evening at Hull university. A big thank you to everyone who attended and made it a fantastic evening. Big congratulations to all trophy and award winners, as well as the band who performed extremely well under pressure.
Our recent fundraising events (Hull Show, Cylcleathon, Raffle & Family Event Day) have been a tremendous success. The squadron would like to thank the companies and individuals that have supported these events. Every little really does help!
Preparations are well underway for the squadrons participation in this years Hull Show on 13-14 August. Cadets, Staff & Civilian Committee members have been donating tombola prizes and gathering raffle donations. The event should be a fantastic fundraising and recruitment drive for the squadron.
This bank holiday weekend 31 cadets from 152 were joined with cadets from 873 (Driffield) & 1324 (Hawker Blackburn) for a fun filled multi activity weekend at Raywell. Congratulations to all who participated in the Inter-Sqn cross country event at RAF Linton on Ouse in January. The squadron came 21st out of 29 with FS Wardale coming 5th in the Junior Men category. Well done!

The 7th & 8th of March saw 14 cadets undertake radio communications training in order to achieve their Full VHF/UHF qualification. All 14 passed both the written and practical examinations with flying colors. Tuesday 11th March saw 19 cadets achieve their Basic Swimming Proficiency award. To achieve this they had to swim 50 metres, tread water for 2 minutes and then exit the pool unassisted. Well done to all who attended.
