WHAT WE DO

CAMPS & VISITS

Get away from the parents for a week... spend time with friends doing something fun... experience what its like to live on a RAF station and gain qualifications whilst doing so... sounds like a camp visit is just for you!

Easter, Summer and Autumn Camps provide Cadets with an opportunity to visit an operational RAF Station, both in the UK and Overseas. Training and development camps also provide Cadets with the chance to gain useable real worlds qualifications.

UK RAF STATIONS

UK RAF Stations visits and camps always tend to be a Cadets favourite part of being in the RAFAC. Week long camps will allow Cadets to visit various different sections on an operational station, getting a true feel for military life.

OVERSEAS STATIONS

As well as UK Station visits, our Cadets can get the opportunity to attend an overseas camp, with Cyprus, Germany and Gibraltar being key locations.

EXCHANGES

The RAFAC also takes place in the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE), where Cadets from all different countries exchange with their counterparts.

The Squadron also has a long running partnership with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the USA's version of the RAFAC. Conducting yearly exchanges for both CAP and RAFAC personnel.

ACTIVITY & TRAINING WEEKENDS

Throughout the year, both the Squadron and the Wing hold several training weekends. These weekends are prime opportunities to complete extra training opportunities. Whether this be in the form of shooting, first aid, radio communications or leadership qualifications, or the chance to take part in a fieldcraft exercise.
